Hotel Pickup in Cusco
We begin the Maras and Moray ATV Tour with an early morning pickup from your hotel in Cusco at 7:00 A.M. From there, we drive toward the Andes, enjoying stunning views of snow-capped mountains and agricultural landscapes. Along the way, you will experience local life in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
Arrival in Cruzpata – Safety Briefing & Practice
Upon arrival in Cruzpata, our guide will welcome you and provide a detailed safety briefing along with driving instructions. You will have a short practice session to become familiar with the ATV, ensuring a safe and confident experience during the tour.
ATV Ride Through the Sacred Valley
We begin the ATV ride through the Maras Valley, following scenic mountain trails filled with curves, open landscapes, and spectacular Andean views. Along the route, we pass through rural paths, traditional villages, and cultivated fields.
This section offers the perfect combination of adventure and photography opportunities, allowing you to experience the natural beauty of the Sacred Valley up close.
Visit to Moray Archaeological Site
Our first main stop is Moray, located at 3,500 meters above sea level. Here, you will explore the famous circular terraces used by the Incas as an agricultural laboratory.
You will have time to walk around the site, learn about its unique engineering, and enjoy incredible views of the surrounding mountains.
Return ATV Ride to Cruzpata
After visiting Moray, we return along the same route, enjoying different perspectives of the Sacred Valley. The return ATV ride lasts approximately 2 hours, maintaining the excitement of the adventure.
Visit to Maras Salt Mines
After the ATV experience, we continue by vehicle to the famous Maras Salt Mines. You will observe more than 3,000 salt pools built on the mountainside, where local families still harvest salt using traditional methods.
Walking through the salt terraces offers a unique contrast of white salt pools against the Andean mountains, creating one of the most iconic landscapes in Peru.
Return to Cusco
Finally, we return to Cusco by vehicle, arriving at Plaza de Armas around 1:00 P.M. This concludes a memorable experience filled with adventure, culture, and stunning landscapes in the Sacred Valley.
