⚖️ Terms and Conditions

LAST UPDATED: 12/01/2025

Welcome to Sisa Perú Tours. By booking a tour or service with us, you (hereinafter referred to as “the Client”) agree to the following Terms and Conditions.

1. Bookings and Payments

Confirmation: To confirm any booking, an initial deposit of 50% of the total tour cost is required. The remaining balance must be paid 7 days before the tour start date.

Last-Minute Bookings: Reservations made less than 2 days in advance require full payment (100%) at the time of booking.

Documentation: It is the Client’s responsibility to provide accurate and complete personal information (full names, passport numbers, dates of birth, nationality) required for the purchase of tickets (Machu Picchu, Inca Trail, train tickets, etc.).

2. Cancellation and Refund Policy

Cancellations by the Client:

  • Cancellation more than 60 days in advance: Full refund minus a 30% administrative fee and non-recoverable costs (such as Inca Trail permits or train tickets).
  • Cancellation between 60 and 40 days in advance: 50% refund of the total cost.
  • Cancellation less than 40 days in advance (or no-show): No refund will be provided (100% penalty).

Important: Inca Trail permits and Machu Picchu entrance tickets are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances, in accordance with the regulations of the Ministry of Culture of Peru.

Cancellations or Modifications by the Company:

Sisa Perú Tours reserves the right to modify or cancel itineraries due to “Force Majeure” (weather conditions, strikes, natural disasters, protests, etc.) or failure to meet the required minimum number of participants. In such cases, an alternative tour or a different departure date will be offered.

If the cancellation is due to operational reasons on the company’s side, a full refund will be provided.

3. Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that all clients purchase comprehensive travel insurance covering cancellations, medical expenses, emergency evacuation, baggage loss, and accidents. Sisa Perú Tours is not responsible for costs incurred by the Client due to the lack of adequate insurance coverage.

4. Liability and Risks

The Client acknowledges that adventure tours (such as hiking, mountaineering, and jungle tours) involve inherent risks. Sisa Perú Tours operates under the highest safety standards but is not responsible for injuries, death, property damage, or delays caused by acts of nature, equipment failure, third-party actions, or the Client’s own negligence.

5. Acclimatization and Health

For high-altitude tours (Cusco, Salkantay Trek, Rainbow Mountain), it is imperative that the Client acclimatize properly (we recommend 2–3 days in Cusco) before beginning the trek. It is the Client’s responsibility to be in good physical condition.

6. Governing Law

Any dispute arising from these Terms and Conditions shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Peru and submitted to the jurisdiction of the courts of Cusco.
